Redistricting mess: Sen. Johnny DuPree, just elected to one seat, running for another

Mississippi Today reports that Johnny DuPree is seeking another Senate seat after Michael Watson directed officials to use the 2022 legislative districts. Reeves ordered the special election under those lines. This does not establish new congressional maps, a new legislative special session, or a settled 2027 map.
